Why is the babylonian religion of Astrology bad? Is it wrong to go to the stars instead of creator Jesus?

The wise men did not follow a usual star because this star went from east to west, to lead them from Babylon to Jerusalem, and then from north to south, to lead them from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. I doubt it would have been astrology that lead them to interpret the star the way they did because they were specific about the star being the star of the king of the Jews. It is more likely that the wise men carried a tradition of a Jewish Messiah introduced by Daniel who learned his wisdom from God and the bible and not from Astrology. No where does the book of Daniel show him using Astrological and occultic means of getting revelation and answers. It is always an encounter with the God of Israel that grants him the wisdom.
