What should I wear to a 1920's/Great Gatsby/Jazz Age Garden Party?

Any suggestions for costumes? I know some of the fashions from the 1920's includes flapper dresses but then quite the opposite there were also long sleeved, long dresses. What would be appropriate for a garden party of this theme?
