Music Video on Vh1 top 20 countdown from a while back cant remember what it is!!!?

So i remember in the video theres a guy (the lead singer) and a girl who drive to a motel, and she is a criminal of some sort and he is an undercover cop, he tells her because he loves her or whatever and they set up a whole thing like tying him to a chair in the motel room and she hits him, so she can get away because the cops are coming. thats all i know lol i love the song but i seriously cant remember it at all just know i like it. help if you can thankyou :)
