Who believes religion is a method of control?

I'm not atheist in as much as I believe something (perhaps some sort of 'God') exists, but I think religion is a crock. Maybe there are splinters of truth in the block but generally speaking, I think that religion was a form of law in bc and has been continued as a faith. I think it is merely a form of m control.... and hell, it works on most people!!!
