When should i take the turkey out to defrost?

I guess it depends on the size. My sister in law took hers out today. I don't know about weight Its a crown and is suitable for 8-10 people. She's put it in the fridge to defrost gently but she's cooking it on Christmas Day. I'd take out yours tomorrow or at the very very latest Thursday morning and pop it in the fridge.
