IPod nano 6th gen shutting down on its own?

Since I uploaded the latest 1.1 software for my iPod, it completely shuts down when it goes to its energy conserving mode (screen fades, then goes off). It does this every minute. I've already reset and restored it. Something changed with the 1.1 download. Can anyone help?
